This Shabbat Temple Israel will be joining the National Council of Jewish Women and other organizations across the country to celebrate Repro Shabbat. We will explore the themes of Parshat Mishpatim — the Torah verses that explain why Judaism permits and sometimes requires abortion — and the implications of policies that threaten bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom. During this Shabbat, we will also be honoring Pack 25 and welcoming a delegation from Shoham, Israel. We also look forward to hearing from pianist Evan Solomon, who will accompany Emily Groff Heilborn.
