Anti-Semitism has nothing to do with Judaism, even if anti-Judaism remains the longest-running hatred in human history. We will begin with Pauline Christianity’s assault on Judaism, continue with cataclysmic events in the Middle Ages and conclude with racism in the most “religious” region in America – the Deep South. A common thread is the remarkable humanity of Jewish leaders amidst the inhumanity in the societies in which they lived.
