Memphis-born journalist and author Dana Sachs joins us to talk about how the themes of the Exodus relate to the humanitarian situation she describes in her new book, All Else Failed: The Unlikely Volunteers at the Heart of the Migrant Aid Crisis.
There will be a reception following services with light refreshments and snacks, during which Dana and Temple member and long-time Memphis volunteer Laura Goodman-Bryan will talk more about small-scale humanitarianism, whether that be in the displacement camps of Greece, the recent Ukrainian refugee communities in Poland, or right here in Memphis. Purchase a copy of Dana’s book through Burke’s Book Store.
