Do you enjoy building friendships, making professional contacts, and donating your time to charitable causes? Then you will want to get involved with Brotherhood at Temple!
Whether you like to schmooze, enjoy helping build Temple’s sukkah, join in couples bowling, go kayaking, or hustle a Texas Hold’em tournament, Temple Israel’s Brotherhood wants you! Through our programming, men ages 19 to 99 contribute to our community, both within and outside Temple.
Membership
We offer a number of membership levels that support Brotherhood’s programs, Temple Israel, and the greater community.
Our dues and events raise thousands of dollars each and provide support to local and national Jewish and community organizations. This year, we have supported the following:
- Temple Israel Security
- Temple Israel Religious School
- Temple Israel Barbara K. Lipman Early Learning Center
- Jacobs Camp
- MIFA (Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association)
- Family Promise of Memphis
- George Floyd Memorial Scholarship Fund at Lemoyne Owen College
- Sarah’s Hope Projects
If you have any questions about joining or supporting Brotherhood, please reach out to us directly and we will be happy to answer any questions and provide accommodations. Email brotherhood@timemphis.org.
Events
Along with our regular meetings, events are scheduled throughout the year. Some annual highlights include our charity golf tournament, the Purimshpiel party, supporting our religious school carnival, and preparing food for those with severe illnesses. While 5781 may look a bit different than years past, we are committed to a combination of virtual and small, safe outdoor gatherings that will keep our members connected. Check out our events page to see what’s in store.
