Join Rabbi Jeremy when he speaks to the JCC senior group and discusses, “Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel’s Vision of a Just Society.”
Rabbi Heschel is best known for his contribution to Jewish scholarship, involvement in the Civil Rights Movement, and opposition to the Vietnam War. However, Rabbi Heschel wrote extensively of every facet of American life from the doctor-patient relationship to the purpose of public education. Join us as we explore excerpts from a series of speeches and essays written in the 1950s and 1960s and discuss their implications for our world today.
