Temple Israel is proud to produce a creative hybrid of virtual and in-person soulful offerings for this year’s High Holy Days season.
For each service, please keep in mind:
- Register beforehand if you plan on attending in person. You can find registration links by the corresponding service.
- Arrive early and allow time to secure parking, check-in, and find a seat.
Is Childcare available?
Complementary child care will be available for members on Rosh Hashanah morning, September 26, 10 AM – 12 PM, and Yom Kippur Day, October 5, 10 AM- 12 PM and 4:30 PM-6:30 PM. for children ages 18 months to 1st grade. Registration deadlines: September 21 for Rosh Hashanah and September 29 for Yom Kippur. Register Here.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Masks are optional at Temple Israel. Please make the choice that makes you most comfortable.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive early to allow time to find a parking spot, check-in at the Sanctuary entrance, and find a premier seat with enough distance from others. Services will begin promptly at the listed time.
How will I access services if I cannot attend them in person?
Services are available via our livestream at timemphis.org or Facebook. On the High Holy Days Schedule, a direct link will be below each service.
Will I need to register?
Yes, please register if you plan to attend Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur programs and services. Register Here.
Where do I park?
Parking in the Temple lot will be available beginning at 8 am.
Will bathrooms be available?
Yes. There is also a gender-neutral bathroom available in the bridal room.
Do I need a prayer book?
If you attend in person, we will have prayer books available. If you are tuning in via livestream, the video of the service will include slides of the prayers. What about kippot and tallit?
Kippot and tallit will not be offered, but please bring and wear, as comfortable.
Will there be security?
Yes, security will be provided.
Is there a nursing room available?
The adult lounge will serve as a comfortable, private nursing area.
The Temple Israel Cemetery will be closed on Monday, September 26, in observance of Rosh Hashanah, and on Wednesday, October 5, in observance of Yom Kippur.
To observe and maintain the sanctity of the High Holy Days, we ask that you refrain from photography and interacting with social media.
Your participation in in-person, outdoor services at Temple Israel is voluntary, and Temple Israel cannot be held liable for injury or illness.
