Let's start things out on the right note! Haha, just kidding, but we ARE happy that you are interested in the exciting things happening musically here at Temple Israel.
We are also happy that Temple has a new home for music: Rooms 201 and 202. This new music room not only will be a place for future music opportunities at Temple, but also a room where all members can gather to make great music any time.
We have a long way to go to make this space an official music room. If you have any old instruments that are still playable, or if you would like to make a donation to help us fill the space with instruments, please contact Cantorial Soloist Abbie Strauss. We would like to have extra guitars, a drum set, amplifiers, and other instruments that could be used at religious school so anyone can come and explore their music talent through Jewish music. Thanks in advance for your help!
In addition to filling our space with instruments, we would love to have any 3rd through 12th grader who would like to learn guitar, sing, or just play and enjoy music, join our "Music Hangouts." If your child is interested, please e-mail Abbie.
Or, if you would like to get involved in other ways musically, let us know!
And, since its inception in 2007, our Teen Team has been very active in our Wendy and Avron Religious School, at Shabbat services, and other venues. We are very proud of their involvement and commitment. If your Temple teen is interested in finding out more about Teen Team, please e-mail Abbie.
Listen to Great Music!
